Maite Alberdi was born in Santiago de Chile in 1983 into a large family of Basque origin where she was the eldest of five siblings. Alberdi stands out for her skill in forming an intimate connection with her subjects, capturing the essence of their humanity. Her cinema immerses itself in the routines of ordinary people, revealing their small acts of greatness and their quiet conflicts.
