Miradas Market will take place in person in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife) from November 25 to 28, 2025, as part of the MIRADAS AFROINDÍGENAS International Non-Fiction Film Festival.  

Why participate? 

Miradas Market is an essential meeting point for documentary filmmaking professionals, with workshops, talks, screenings, and several days of friendly meetings between commissioning editors and TV and streaming channel buyers, festivals, and public and private institutions.

The Miradas Market team has organized over 1,000 meetings between filmmakers and decision makers from renowned organizations, such as:

Al Jazeera, Arte TV, BBC, Deutsche Welle, RTVE, Filmin, The New York Times, Berlinale World Cinema Fund, Hot Docs Blue Ice Docs Fund, IDFA Bertha Fund, Cannes Docs, Sunny Side of the Doc, PiXii Festival, and Visions du Réel.

Who is this call directed to?

Filmmakers from anywhere in the world with documentary film projects that approach stories about countries in the Global South or that are produced and/or created in those countries.

Special consideration will be given to stories dealing with Latin American and African countries, and/or are made in those countries, as well as those that explore Indigenous themes.
