Ancestral foundations outline the remains of the ancient Saharan world, which can still be found alive in the homes and customs of Nouakchott’s inhabitants. These traces appear through the cracks of a city that is being built with as much wild energy and recklessness as it is heading towards its own degradation and destruction.
