In complex times for culture and creativity, we cele- brate the fact that in the Canary Islands we have a united and collaborative film community. The harmony among the various festivals across the archipelago is a source of pride and hope: an example of how collec- tive work strengthens the cultural fabric and broadens perspectives on our territory and the world. We are deeply grateful for this complicity, which makes it possible for cinema to continue to be, here, a space for encounter, dialogue, and creative resistance.

The composition of this competitive section, structured through the work of the Canary Islands Film Festival Coordinator, has been made possible by the participation of the Festivalito La Palma, the Muestra de cine de Lanzarote, the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival, the Lanzarote Film Festival, the La Orotava Short Film Festival, and the Asociación de cine Vértigo.
