Program

Pitching Workshop

During two full days, participants will undergo intensive training with expert-consultant Stephanie von Lukowicz to prepare the project presentation.

  • Public Presentation of the project: The director and/or producer of each selected project will make a brief 7-minute presentation to the panel of Commissioning Editors (responsible for TV financing), distributors, festival directors and public and private film institutions. During the presentation, it is advisable to show a demo or trailer of the project, as long as it does not exceed three minutes in length.
  • Afterwards, the invited international professionals will react to the presentation and actively participate in the debate, which will take place under the supervision of the workshop moderator, sharing with the selected documentary filmmakers information about their interests regarding the programming of their channels, as well as the editorial lines of their companies.
  • B2B meetings: In this third stage, each project can be presented and discussed individually with the different members of the panel of distributors, Commissioning Editors and festival directors in meetings lasting approximately 10 minutes.

These sessions have the following objectives:

  • Finance documentary projects through co-production or pre-purchase agreements with channel representatives or distribution companies.
  • Enrich and develop proposals through close, face-to-face meetings with commissioning editors, festival directors and their suggestions for each project.
