Sinopsis

Miguel Velázquez nace en 1944 en Santa Cruz de Tenerife, y de chaval comienza a boxear en su barrio como manera de intentar salir de la miseria en la que vive su familia. Ahí nace la leyenda de un púgil al que nunca le gustó boxear y que acabó siendo campeón de Europa y del Mundo.

Miguel Velázquez was born in 1944 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and as a boy he began boxing in his neighbourhood as a way of trying to escape the poverty in which his family lived. This is where the legend of a boxer who never liked boxing was born, and who ended up being a European and World champion.

DAVID CÁNOVAS. Guionista, director y productor. Entre sus obras destacan La punta del iceberg (2016) y el cortometraje El intruso (2005), nominado a los Premios Goya. Ha dirigido programas de televisión como Supernanny y Los Archivos del Ministerio. En 2014 fundó el festival educativo Cinedfest, promoviendo el cine como herramienta educativa.
